Gabe loves to play with Daddy's hat. What a cute little guy!!!!

VIDEO TIME!!
They added a new feature to blogger, so now I can upload videos easily. Brandon and I don't have a video camera, but we are able to take little videos with our digital camera. The clarity is not the best, but hey it works and I'm able to capture memories of the kids when they are little. I wish I had known about this feature when Anna was little. So enjoy:)

Vomit comet..... Take Three!

Anna seemed to be feeling fine this morning. She was hungry, so we made waffles and sausage for breakfast. About 11:30 Anna and Gabe wanted to get out of the house so we decided to drive to Sam's Club to do a little grocery shopping. We made it about 1/2 way there before Anna threw up all over herself in her car seat. As bad as vomit smells in a house, it's much worse in the confined space of a Buick. Yuck! We got off the Beltline and stopped at a convenience store to clean Anna up and put her in some fresh clothes. Brandon didn't trust her to not puke on her back-up outfit, so we turned around and drove back home. Oh, well, maybe that was the Lord's way of telling us He didn't want us spending money at Sam's Club.
Unpleasant, but Mommy's & Daddy's duty....

Last night was not a good night for Anna. She woke up and started crying about 12:30. I'm the one who gets to take care of crying kids in the night, but last night I strongly hinted that it was his turn this time. So, Brandon got up to take her downstairs to get a drink and Anna threw up all over herself and Daddy (lucky me :-)) Poor little girl had puke in her hair and daddy was covered from neck to waist. Off to the shower for both of them and time for mom to clean up the living room floor. Praise the Lord for wood floors. I am so glad we don't have carpet on our main floor. It makes cleaning so much easier.

So, that was puke #1. After her shower we put on a movie for her and she fell asleep on the couch. A few hours later she woke up crying and proceeded to throw up all over herself and the couch. Puke #2. Mommy and Daddy were wise enough to put blankets over the couch cushions so at least the couch didn't get much on it. Anna was not so lucky and needed another bath, which she wasn't at all thrilled about. Brandon never did get back to sleep after puke #1 and ended up finally crawling into bed at 4:30 this morning.

So, Anna, Brandon and I are pretty tired today. We had to stay home from church to let the little one recover. I'm not doing too bad because I am pretty used to getting up a couple times a night anyway. Anna usually wakes up crying once a night needing a drink and a little love. She then goes right back to sleep, which is good.

Well, I guess I will try and get some laundry done today since I will be home. We finally mowed the lawn yesterday after all the rain we had this past week. Now I just need some sun so my tomatoes will ripen.

Verses of the day: Ephesians 2:8 & 9
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

HOT DOGS......
I have not bought hot dogs in a while, but they were on sale, so I decided to pick up a package. That was Tuesday night when Anna and I went to the store. When we got home she ended up eat two hot dogs right away. Then on Wed. she ate a few and then this morning for breakfast what did Anna want to eat?????? A hot dog!!!! Out of 10 hot dogs there are only 4 1/2 left. I'm afraid she may turn into one. I'll let you know if it happens:)

The Mosquitoes have taken over........
After all the rain we got the mosquitoes moved in. I did not know it till I let the kids play in the backyard one afternoon and soon realized my son had gotten eaten alive. Poor little guy.
I only go out to the garden when I know I have to check to see if I have any more ripe tomatoes. I make sure I have my pants and a long sleeved shirt on and pick the tomatoes as fast as possible. The mosquitoes are out at all times of the day, so there really is not any good time to do the job. I have canned 6 quarts and 2 pints of chili fixings so far. I am hoping to get a lot more, so hopefully next year I will not have to do to much canning. I am looking forward to the first frost and hopefully it will take care of the mosquitoes.

Two 1/2 WeeksTill Brandon heads back to school. We still don't know if he is going to have a job at 7Up or not. They will probably wait till the last day to tell him one way or another. It would be nice if we knew now,so I could let my work know if my hours will be changing. One nice thing is if he is out a job I can pick up extra hours at Victor Allen's for a while.

I know the Lord has everything under control. Here are few verses that assures me and keeps me from worry:

" Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour our your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:8

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Those are just a couple verses. If anyone has any other verses to share I would love to hear them.

On a different note. I canned my first batch of tomatoes. I got 3 quarts and 2 pints. I already have a bunch more tomatoes ripening on my counter. I am looking forward to canning as many as possible. I don't understand why people find canning so difficult. It is so easy and it nice to know that the tomatoes you are using for meals is freshly grown with no pesticide's.

Well that's all for today. Here are a couple wonderful verses.

Psalms 46:1 & 10
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
"Be Still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
