Knitting....
I've been knitting up a few dishcloths or coffee coasters. I am using this Basic Knitted Dishcloth Pattern and using the Sugar & Cream cotton yarn. If you keep an eye out at Michaels they have it on sale for $1 a roll.

Size 7 knitting needles (US)

Instructions:

Cast on 4 stitches

Row 1: Knit 4

Row 2: Knit 2, yarn over, knit across the row.

Repeat Row 2 until you have 30 stitches. ( you can do more stitches if you want a bigger wash cloth)

Row 3: Knit 1, knit 2 together, yarn over, knit 2 together, knit to the end of the row.

Repeat Row 3 until you have 4 stitches left on the needle.

Bind off and weave in ends.

Knitted Hat and Cowl.....
This is my first cowl and it turned out great. Super easy to make and great for kids instead of a scarf. I like to use circular knitting needles and they are easy for Anna to use as well. This may be our new Christmas idea for next year.

Kitted Hat.....
This is my first hat for this season. It was one that I had started last year, but never finished. I'm not sure who will get it, but it will go in my gift bin.

Knitted Hats....
These are the hats that I made on our trip to Nebraska this past Christmas. Knitting is such a nice way to past the time while driving on the road. The question I kept getting from my daughter was, "who are they for?." I said, "I don't know yet", so they will just go in my gift container and be given to someone as a present sometime.

Another Knitted Hat.....
I made this for Anna, but it ended up being a bit to small. I will find it a home sometime.

Knitted Hat....
For the past few weeks I have been working on this hat for my hubby. He loves this T.V. series called "Firefly". One of the characters is Jayne Cobb, who is the crew's tough guy. During one of the episodes Jayne's mother sends him a knitted hat like the one I made below. In the show, when Jayne first tries on the hat he says, "Cunning, don't ya think?" So what do you think????? Also this is my first knitted hat and I really enjoyed learning how to knit on circular needles. Brandon also loves his hat. Merry Christmas Hubby! Knitted Shawl for Anna.....
Here is another shawl that I had started last winter and finally finished up about a month ago.
It was fun & easy to make. I have a few more projects in my mind that I would like to make, but I will have to see how much time I have. We do have some travel trips coming up, which would be some good time to work on a project.

Knitted Shawl....
I have been working on this for a little over a month or so. I didn't go by a pattern and am very happy with how it turned out. Anna has a couple of shawl were I got the idea and thought I would try making one for myself. It's nice and warm and will be nice to wear around the house during the next few cold months.
